Here is a list of some branch lines in western Bohemia, with a brief commentary of points of interest along each line. The listing shows: Mainline station - Terminus (line number on the map above)

Pobezovice - Stankov (182) ; Horsovsky Tyn: Actually a main line, but on a dayliner, it's a pleasant run along the edge of the Sumava Mountains. Horsovsky Tyn is home to a beautiful Renaissance chateau.

Karlovy Vary - Marianske Lazne (149) ; Becov nad Teplou, Tepla: From one famous spa town to another. Karlovy Vary is famous also for its film festival every summer.

Strakonice - Volary (198): A convoluted route through some of the most striking scenery of the Sumava Mountains.
